The River Rat Pack's All Dayer
So yesterday those Jacker’s who weren’t enjoying the queues, over priced food and dirty loos (and amazing bands…) at Reading made their way to Angel’s Old Queens Head for an evening of good times from The River Rat Pack. A 12 hour happening of live music and dirty DJ sets with free entry before 8pm, a better place to enjoy the first sunshine all weekend Jack doesn’t think you could have found. With a line upĀ that boastedĀ Jack fave Josh Weller and Southampton’s tres magnifique Six Nation State, the real treat came from headliner’s Man Like Me-woah those guys know how to party. Sending the room into something of a frenzy, hands were high in the air for tunes such as Single Dad and finale London Town, accessorised with dance routines and shirt removal galore. South London boys Is Tropical made waves behind the decks, playing the best RnB the 90′s had to offer, while BITR8 kept up the party left by MLM in the only way you could (playing the BIGGEST dancefloor delights, but of course).
If you didn’t quite make it to Notting Hill carnival today and have instead spent your time simply enjoying bank holiday bliss, we suggest you get out of your jimjams and return to the OQH-they’ve got another something something in store tonight with Magpies Nest’s Folk All Dayer. It started at 2pm but there’s still another five hours to be enjoyed. Jack would see you there, if we weren’t still curing last nights hangover.
