Struck By Lightning
Glee’s Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) is turning screenplay writer with this, his first new film, Struck By Lightning.
After getting a Golden Globe, two Emmy nominations, and a spot on the Time 100 for his role on the hit Fox series, Colfer has spent his time writing screenplays, selling a Disney pilot, and securing a book deal all at the tender age of 21.
Struck By Lightning, a dark comedy, is the first of his scripts and was shot last summer with Brian Dannelly.
Chris Colfer of course stars in his creation as ‘an ambitious high school senior who blackmails his peers into contributing to his literary magazine before he is, you guessed it, struck by lightning and killed.’ Other actors in the film include Christina Hendricks, Allison Janney, Sarah Hyland, Angela Kinsey, Dermot Mulroney, and Rebel Wilson.
