RBC Leon: So Long, Leeds – Until Next Year!

On the whole, I really enjoyed Leeds Festival.
The line-up, although being the best in recent years, wasn’t that awesome; out of all the acts that performed throughout the entire weekend, I only wanted to see a handful. Fortunately this meant very few time clashes!
The shuttle service between Leeds & the festival was the best organised area of the weekend getting us there and back quickly without lots of waiting around.

I was a little disappointed with the way the main arena was looked after, with no visible site cleaners picking up rubbish… in fact, said rubbish being set on fire and not a lot being done about it. The security were keen to check wristbands [which were incredibly easy to remove] but not in bags – plus, the site stewards were all clueless when it came to asking for directions – even with a map!
My highlights of the week:

Short shorts!

Avoiding the rain – somehow we managed to be near a tent each time!

Reliving my rebellious teenage years with Bad Religion, NOFX & Blink 182

Seeing Gallows, FINALLY!

Cancer Bats performing Lucifer’s Rocking Chair and Hail Destroyer
Axl Rose proving that he is a total douchebag

and spending my weekend with Michaela
My lowlights of the week:
Missing Rolo Tomassi
Cold wind and grey skies!

Missing half of QOTSA to watch Against Me!

Standing really far back for Blink 182
