The Maid, an offbeat Spanish film about Raquel, a family’s maid who doesn’t appreciate having a young assistant hired to help her out. Raquel doesn’t just have a sulk, she decides to wage a war of attrition upon the new helper and drive her out. The Maid is an in-depth examination of Raquel’s changing relationship, due to her failing health, with the family she serves and the lengths she will go to to maintain the position she has held for so long.
