Opening This Month, The Oyster Shed
Another month, another fine seafood establishment to add to your visit list.
This time the new eatery comes from Rupert and Jo Clevely, co-founders of the pub group Geronimo Inns. They will be launching The Oyster Shed on 23rd January 2012.
The Oyster Shed will be on Angel Lane, London and will offer an impressive range of seafood and more traditional British dishes alongside an extensive Champagne list and a wide selection of local ales, stouts, whiskeys, wines and cocktails.
Ed Turner, Commercial Director at Geronimo Inns, says ‘Wherever you sit you’ll be able to enjoy a fine pint, a glass of wine over a plate of good food with excellent views of the river – perfect for a glass of stout and some oysters, a quick light lunch or something a little longer… or even a dinner in the Club Room (Geronimo’s separate room for corporate or private events). To us a site like this is reward for all the hard work over the last 15 years.’
Geronimo Inns will celebrate their first anniversary this year since being acquired by Young’s in December 2010.
We’re personally looking forward to trying the bar boards with offer such as the Fishmongers’ Board (Smoked salmon, spiced prawns, £13.50 and the Butchers’ Board Mini Yorkshire’s and roast beef, chipolatas,£13.50, a perfect change from wedges or nachos to go with after work drinks.
Another highlight is Geronimo’s very own cheese which will be available at The Oyster Shed, which is made in Cornwall and kept in a secret location for nine months, before being washed in Young’s bitter.
