One New Change Opens Today
Last nigth the first of the new shoppers descended on the new shopping centre next to St Pauls Cathedral that is One New Change. With an earnest nod towards make a shopping expierence great and all sorts of alternative interior design and collaborations with art students and the like the centre really is an exciting addition to the square mile.
This is the cities first major shopping centre and with a website that is likened slightly to a cross between what might be Selfridges and Barneys it has had a lot of thought put into it.
The building has already gained the nickname the stealth building as it’s mirrored walls reflect it’s surroundings. The mirrored building houses has 60 stores and restaurants over three floors, including the likes of Banana Republic, Topshop, H&M and M&S Simply Food and five floors of offices to boot. Celebrity chefs Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay are also opening restaurants opposite each other on the first floor, it will be interesting to watch to competition there!
One New Changes marks a large change to the district that is thought of as predominatly offices and workers. We are off down there tonight to see what all the fuss is about and we wll be reporting back as to whether it is attracting more than the nearby suits and boots.
