Olympic Cabs Wont Be More Expensive
When we heard that it was being proposed that London’s taxi fares rise by 22% during this Summer’s Olympic Games we were pretty damn annoyed however we’ve just heard word that the proposal has been rejected.
If it had gone ahead taxis would be charging premium evening rates for day time taxi rides however TfL have turned down the proposal stating that most taxi drivers did not back the plans.
It’s not all good news though, fares will still rise by 5.3% and with the tubes and buses predicted to be hellish as well it seems that no matter what mode of transport you decide to take it wont be without its downfalls.
