Occupy London Lose Appeal
Occupy London have had their bid to appeal a recent court ruling that they must leave their St Paul’s protest camp rejected.
Back in January the High Court ruled that City of London Corporation were allowed to evict the protesters who set up camp outside the cathedral last October however the Occupy group unsuccessfully tried to appeal the ruling. On hearing the news Occupy London took to their Twitter saying, ‘All appeals denied but fight not over’.
The Occupy movement has been taking place here in the UK, in other European countries and over in the US for several months now with groups getting together to protest against corporate greed. Occupy London have also taken over several other locations around London including Finsbury Park, an old UBS building in Hackney and an unused Old Street Magistrates Court in East London.
