Nolan Refuses To Rework Bane
When The Dark Knight Rises trailer landed online a few days ago the internet went crazy, through all the Twitters, forum messages and film reports one thing was evidentially clear, everyone loved it. However there were some grumbles in amongst the praise mainly that Bane’s voice was, well, inaudible.
Similar feedback was given after a six-minute prologue by Bane was screened before showings of Sherlock Holmes a few weeks ago with many complaining that his mask and typically Britishness made it tough to work out what he was saying and what with Tom Hardy’s Bane being one of the most important roles in the new film this is obviously somewhat of a problem.
So what is Christopher Nolan, the films director going to do about it? Well not a lot really. Despite pleads from Warner Bros. the director’s only compromise has been that he will alter the sound but will not rework it completely like many think he should.
Quite how this is going to go down with the big bosses and all those millions of fans around the world who are looking forward to seeing the film when it’s released next Summer is still unsure but it seems a shame to ruin something that looks so good over something so fundamental.
