Lana Del Rey To Re-Release Album
When she first came blasting onto the music scene all big hair and pouting lips last year the music industry went crazy for her and it wasn’t long until this relative nobody named Lana Del Rey was everywhere and people started to ask the question, where’s she been on this time? Well the answer was simple… she’d actually been around for quite a while yet until recently she went by her real name Lizzy Grant, had short blonde hair and lips that weren’t full of collagen.
It turned out that Miss Del Rey had previously released a self titled debut album which, when she became big last year, was removed from the internet without a trace. Until now we’d thought that she’d been embarrassed by her old look and was trying to hide her past but it turns out she’s actually planning to re-release the album.
Officially released back in 2012 the album cost just over £6,000 to make and was created with Regina Spektor producer David Kahne. At the moment there’s no word on when the album will be released but speaking to NME Del Rey said, ‘People act like it’s so shrouded in mystery, the ‘forgotten terrible album’… But if you look on YouTube, all 13 tracks are available with millions of views, so it’s not like no-one’s heard them. We were all proud of it. It’s pretty good.’
Perhaps this is her way of reaching out and trying to make her peace after all her recent controversies?
