Kodak To Stop Making Cameras
One of the founding companies of home photograph, Kodak have announced that they are to stop making cameras after over 110 years.
The move has been decided as a way of battling a drop in profits that saw Kodak Eastman filing for bankruptcy protection in the US just last month. Despite their iconic status among camera producers Kodak now plan to phase out ‘its dedicated capture devises business’ which will also include digital photo frames and video cameras. The plan is that by pulling cameras from their production list they will save themselves $100m a year, going someway to pay off their $6.8billion debt.
