MICA PARIS and Celebrity friends to Host Celebrity Screening For Wyclef Jean docu- film in Aid Of Haiti

Notting Hill Resident and Celebrity Soul Singer Mica Paris will be hosting a celebrity charity screening of the acclaimed film ‘Ghosts of Cite Soleil’ in aid of Haiti. She will be hosting the event alongside Jenni Falconer, Harry Lloyd and Calum Best with a meet and greet reception from Martine McCutcheon, Cerys Matthews, Charlie Brooks, Status Quo. Sienna Miller and Ridley Scott have also donated personal items to the event for auction.
This ‘raw, painful documentary’ [The Observer] takes a real and gritty look at the reality of life in Haiti, produced by and starring Haiti born musician Wyclef Jean. There will also be the opportunity to win over £5,000 worth of prizes.The celebrity hosted screening will take place at 2pm on 26th February at The Electric Cinema in Notting Hill. The screening will be followed by a Q&A hosted by a Film Critic, with an Aid Specialist, who has over 10 years of experience in humanitarian crisis zones and a British Documentary Maker “The catastrophic earthquake that hit Haiti on Tuesday 12th January continues to have a devastating impact on a country which was already one of the poorest in the world. With thousands dead, millions still in need of aid and a long-term recovery process needed, it is vital generous public support continues. An estimated three million people were affected by the 2010 earthquake and the Haitian Government reports that between 217,000 and 230,000 people
have been identified as dead, an estimated 300,000 injured and approximately 1,000,000 homeless. The death toll is only expected to rise.The celebrity hosted charity screening is open to all for a required minimum donation of £15 per ticket, which will also include drink, popcorn and celebrity introduction.
