Hyde Park Live Music Cancelled?
It’s a London park that’s famed for it’s big musical events but Hyde Park could see it’s future live music events cancelled because they’re ‘too noisy’.
According to The Evening Standard today concerts such as the recently announced Olympic music events and concerts by Rihanna and Madonna are now at threat due to residents in the neighbouring Mayfair area complaining about the noise they produce. There is a meeting being held on Friday by Westminster council to discuss the complaints and to enforce restrictions. One person that’s certainly not backing plans to cancel music events is London mayor Boris Johnson who told the newspaper he was ‘extremely concerned’ adding ‘I want to see Madonna in Hyde Park’.
We’ll let you know what gets decided in the meeting when we hear more.
