Worship Street Whistling Shope

A hidden little speakeasy on Worship Street, the Whistling Shop serves classic British drinks and stays faithful to its speakeasy description.
Found at the City end of Shoreditch on a backstreet the bar is Dickensian themed with plenty of dark corners and comfy leather armchairs.
At the back of the cellar room bar is the room where most of the ingredients for the unusual cocktails are created, housed in a windowed laboratory like something out of Harry Potter.
Cocktails rarely go over the £10 price tag and you can expect titles such as the Jailbait Cocktail, with WS2 ‘whisky’, salt-and-pepper bitters and sugar dust.
Last year (2011) they won the Time Out eating and drinking best new bar award and describe themselves on their website as ‘The next big thing to hit London’s drinking scene is the last great thing in London’s drinking history’.
Big statements to live up to but they are already starting to.
