The Whitechapel Gallery

The newly expanded after a multi million pound renovation The Whitechapel Gallery has houses many of the greats when it comes to exhibitions including Pablo Picasso,Lucien Freud and Mark Rothko.

The gallery has, in recent years, become a little forgotten but it’s heritage should be realised when thinking about going to see an exhibition here. This was the first gallery to bring Pop Art to the UK and also the first to exhibit the legendary artist Jackson Pollock. Like a Phoenix rising form the ashes the current exhibit programe and projects held by the still fighting Whitechapel Gallery is enough to keep us reminded of its important position in the London art gallery list.
