Maggs Bros. Ltd.

Maggs Bros. Ltd. are booksellers by appointment to The Queen and was established in 1853.

Maggs is one of the world’s oldest and largest dealers in antiquarian, first edition, autograph and rare books.  The building it’s housed in at 50 Berkeley Square, is widely known as the ‘most haunted house in london’ and George Canning, the country’s shortest-serving Prime Minister, died there in 1827.

As well as selling books, we of course buy them, and do so around the world. We take pride in being honest and generous buyers and have the resources to deal with the largest of collections as well as interesting individual items.
