Koko
Situated in the heart of Camden, Koko plays host to some of the cities biggest music names and club events.
Beginning its life as The Camden Theatre the venue was opened in 1900 by the actress Ellen Terry with a name change coming in 1909 when it was given a new lease of life under the name The Camden Hippodrome. Since then Koko has taken on many different guises including as a cinema, a venue for the BBC and the place where Madonna performed her first live show. Today Koko is best known for its life music nights and Club NME, a club night featuring new and established music and DJ talent which takes place every Friday night.
