Experimental Cocktail Club (ECC)

The Experimental Cocktail Club is hidden behind a black door in China Town. You would only know it was necessarily there because there is  bouncer there some evenings, standing quietly, letting people in.

The club is not a members one, you don’t have to book or pay a fee to go through the door and onto the plush carpet the other side. At the top of the stairs you find a dimly but decadently let bar serving interesting but perfect cocktails. The only food option is cheese and ham/cured meat and crackers but it’s the best cheese, ham/cured meat and crackers that you will ever have.

The bar has a number of other nice touches like very smart old school waiters as well as a further floor that sports a bar that is also a piano. A great place if you are looking for a decadent drink before dinner or a late night treat. One thing though, if you think you are in the wrong place because the door is shut and it looks like a side door to a shut down shop, don’t be fooled. There’s a beautiful bar in there, we promise.
