BHVU Gallery
BHVU, otherwise known as Basket House Village Universe, is named after an expression first coined by Dutch architect Aldo van Eyck in reference to the way of life of the Dogon people of Mali and is a small gallery run by a group of artists.
What began has just a shell of a building when the group first brought it is now a fully functioning, ever changing gallery and event space in North London. Exhibitions are put on by the group as well as artists who submit work to them with most of them free of charge although from time to time they’ll hold art, film or dance and theatre events in the space with small entry fees to ensure they can keep providing good quality shows.
