Hackney’s Knitted Graffiti
The streets of Hackney have been given a rather bizarre make over this morning after art collective Yarnbombers worked their magic.
Just outside Hackney Town Hall trees have been given a knitted coat to keep them warm through these chilly days. Yarnbombers aim to ‘improve the urban landscape one stitch at a time’ going around London placing knitted art pieces on other wise very dull and boring looking streets.
If you want to learn more about Yarnboming their website has some absolutely brilliant pictures of where they’ve struck before and if you’re passing through Hackney today make sure you swing by and see a spot of street art with a difference.
