FiN
Southwest London schoolmates, Jonny Garner, Simon Harding, Kerry Lambert and Luke Joyce make up the band FiN. Having previously supported Incubus on tour the band are now preparing to play their own headline show at London’s Bush Hall on 18th April as well as getting ready to release their new single Twenty Three / Eve shortly before on 16th April. They took some time out from rehearsing to chat to Who’s Jack about the places they’ve grown up going to and their favourite places in London…
The Armoury Pub, Wandsworth: When making our album we spent 6 months in a dis-used shelving factory in our home town of Wandsworth day & night. This pub is also amazing for food & very band friendly! There were a few late night drinking sessions that helped us along the way.
The British Museum, Great Russel Street: An incredible space with amazing exhibits. It was here that we came up with the idea for our artwork campaign. All our sleeves have pop-art photos of dead British inventors. The idea was to have them look like Penguin books & The Smiths album covers. We are very proud of the outcome.
The Astoria: RIP. We have seen most of our favorite bands here & this venue made us realize it was all possible to achieve. We are gutted it’s closed down as we wanted to headline it one day.
Saatchi Gallery, Sloane Square: The Richard Wilson oil installation bent our minds. It’s such a incredible out of body experience. It was like being in a real life Escher painting.
Cho-San, Putney: This is our favourite restaurant. When ever have cause to celebrate we head here for a real Japanese experience. The saki is amazing & service is incredible. It’s a real local secret & one we feel is great to share with the world. (sorry local folks)
