The interweb loves a viral, and so do we at the Jack Office.  The latest one to spark our interest is from total left field in the shape of Tipp-Ex -  we know, we’d thought they’d died back in the school ban of 2000!

Created to celebrate the back to school period, the video – “A Hunter Shoots A Bear“, is a YouTube viral tapping into the enjoyably interactive; showing a man faced with a bear in a forest but not wanting to shoot it.  Two clickable options appear asking you to either ‘shoot’ or ‘not shoot‘ the bear – redirecting your procrastinating self to a genius page that allows you to type in whatever outcome you’d like to see happen with the bear!

Tip of the hat to French agency Buzzman, who created this hilarious idea and have seen nearly 3,000,000 video views already!  We’ve so far found about 15 different videos, but rumour is that there’s more than 50…try ‘has sex with’, ‘plays football’ and ‘hugs’ – all are really rather amusing on a soggy Monday afternoon.  Don’t say we don’t treat you Jackers.

Starting today until 11th September nail artist Marcus Levine will be exhibiting his latest works at The Air Gallery on Dover Street. The exhibition entitled, Hammered Home, will include a series of abstract nail sculptures for which he has become known for and will include both figurative and non-representation art works.

If there’s one thing Relentless Energy know about it’s how to combine sports and music. And to prove that point they’ve created a film called Lives of Artists: Follow me Down staring James Lavelle and Unkle, Jeremy Jones and Xavier De Le Rue. The film follows DJ James Lavelle and Unkle in tour in places like Tokyo and London as well as legendary freeriders Jeremy Jones and Xavier De Le Rue on a trip to Antarctica as they scale practically verticle snowy mountains slopes.

Car boot sales are normally something you associated with muddy fields on a Sunday morning but not this time around. Super shoppping centre Westfield are holding their own London Car Boot Sale Fair to celebrate London Fashion Week and the launch of the new fashion season. The event will run from 21st – 26th September when over 20 Hyundai i20 cars will be taken over by brands including Topshop, Oasis, Ted Baker, Firetrap and Swarovski. On Thursday Leila and Kris spent the evening with a crab, a banana and several other friends/models in silly outfits shooting our October Halloween story. Our month early Halloween party involved chavs eating Doritos, jumping off tombs, borrowing pint glasses from a pub and getting locked in a park, all washed down with a healthy dose of Red Stripe. Tonight sees the launch of opening of Art Boutique at The Resistance Gallery in Bethnal Green. Art Boutique includes gangs of artists, designers and photographers from their Resistance Rising group of groundbreaking artists. The night will also include Djs throughout the evening and special guests. It all kicks off tonight at 7.30 and will also include the openning of the galleries very cool new coffee bar. A group of fashion graduates are set to open their own shop in the West End. The store called The Hat Collective was the brain child of 11 millinery graduates from Kensington and Chelsea college. The shop will sell bespoke hats ranging anywhere in the price bracket of £60 – £600 and will be in Kingly Court just off of Carnaby Street in Soho. For those of you with bad memories producer, remixer and DJ Russ Chimes was featured in our April edition and we’ve been big fans ever since with Russ also taking to the decks at our last Jack Comes Alive. A secret location, food from a top chef, wine and cocktails… if that sounds like your idea of a good night out you’re in luck this October.

The Savoy Truffle Supper Club is launching a pop up restaurant as part of the London Restaurant Festival. Hidden in a secret North London location guests arrive to cocktails from Bombay Sapphire’s master mixologist Sam Carter, and will dine on a five course menu from former Acorn House chef Gavin Billenness. The £65 a head price includes wine, and cocktails which you can mix yourself in a Bombay Sapphire Cocktail Lab.

Set up by Gavin Billenness and his partner, the Savoy Truffle Supper Club has been running since 2009 and has gained a cult following. Located in either the chef’s dining room or other underground venues, a constantly changing menu is offered (for the pop up in October the chef is using ingredients from his own allotment).

Tickets go on sale on 6^th September and are expected to go like hotcakes (sorry!)
