Curl up with a book in Bloomsbury
Summer is over, deal with it. Festival season has passed, the carnival has shimmied off and London is looking grey.
But as we shuffle reluctantly into the damp drizzle of Autumn do not despair! There’s nothing better on a miserable day than sheltering from the cold with a cup of coffee and getting cosy with a good book. Instead of joining the scrum in Starbucks relax in comfort at a London hotel.
This September head on down to the Radisson Edwardian Bloomsbury Street Hotel and hide from the inclement weather, whilst picking up a free copy of their book of the month: ‘The (im)Perfect Girlfriend’ by Lucy-Ann Holmes. A blogger turned writer, Lucy-Ann Holmes has drawn upon her experiences as a young actress navigating the dating scene. In this her second novel the heroine Sarah Sargeant attempts to make her debut in Hollywood.
Perhaps as a result of looking pretty, serving good coffee and providing free books the Radisson Edwardian Bloomsbury Street Hotel is popular with London’s literati. If you decide to make a night of it you may well spot some well known faces over breakfast, recent guests have included Sarah Waters, Dave Boling and Nick Hornby.
