Clarks Originals Pop Up Store
Clarks Originals have popped up with a store on 101 Regent Street where there will be a weeks worth of activities including sets by Strummerville bands, bands that have been mentored by the Strummerville foundation set up in memory of Joe Strummer to encourage new music as well as DJs.
The store appears on the 15th Feb and will be selling classic mens and womens styles as well as a limited edition of collaborations for SS11 including cross overs with Millerain for men and Laura Ashley for women. This is Clarks effort to get with the program as lets face it, they are a bit behind the trend of these things, however we are informed reliably that Dizzie Rascal likes to wear them as well as the brand being mentioned in recent lyrics from the Wu -Tang Clan ?!?! Your guess is as good as ours.
Anyway – give them a chance as even though their collaborations are with Laura Ashley (stop the press) they might be nice and this is the year of heritage brands lets face it and Clarks is certainly one of those, plus these red offerings are nice.
