Ray-Ban Rare Prints In Shops

New for SS/12 Ray-Ban brings out their new collection for this Summer, Rare Prints is about to hit the shops.

Always a fashion staple for many summers now Ray-Ban are constantly striving for ways to reinvent their timeless favorite, the Wayfarer.

The Wayfarer grew in popularity with everyone from Michael Jackson to Blues Brothers from Audrey Hepburn to..well… everyone.

This new collection of Rare Prints adds to Ray-Ban’s Never Hide campaign. They present two bang on trend ’80s style themes. Typadelic with random inspiring words etched inside or outside of each frame; blocks with pop-art reminiscent shapes in varying colors and sizes. We did show them to you a couple of weeks ago but what with a new image and details of release it was due another shout out.

The collection is of course limited edition to you’ll have to act fast to get your mits on some. They will be in retailers in the coming weeks.

Fashion Week, What I’m Wearing

We want pictures of your street style for this London Fashion Week.

It’s all bustle and hustle as we head into London Fashion Week at the WJ HQ and as usual we will have our team on the ground reporting back from the shows as speedily as we can, as things happen so that you can keep up with all the news.

However, this season we want you to get involved. One of our favourite things about Fashion Week is the street style. It’s one of our most viewed sections as well.

We want to know what you are or would be wearing to Fashion Week each day. So if you are going we want to see what you are going in and if you wish you could go then we want to see what you would have worn.

Get yourself over to our Flickr pool and add yourself to our Fashion Week : What I’m Wearing group to keep us updated.

We’ll take the best each day and put them on here with a prize for the best dressed at the end of it all, as voted for by you.

4D Fashion Film On The Thames

A 4D film is coming to Battersea Power Station to be viewed from the Thames and live streamed on MTV.

This marks the start of some of the seasonal extras that come to London along with Fashion Week.

The film and event on the 16th February is called Turn The Lights Off and will mark the launch of label Bjorn Borg’s SS/12 collection.

As well as the first ever River Thames 4D experience, Bjorn Borg’s event will also feature a catwalk show (we are told – with a difference), performances from Coco Sumner and Robyn.

The show starts at 7pm so get to the Thames to watch it or get to MTV.

Naked Perfume

2012 seems to be the year of the naked. Naked this naked that and now naked perfume.

Following on from Urban Decay‘s Naked palette and Bliss’s Naked Body Butter there is now, of course, I am Naked perfume from I Am Scents.

So what does being naked smell like exactly? Well apparently it is a blend of violet, melon, and metal, that is we are told, what a body smells of.

We’re not sure how great this is but it’s novel for sure. You can find it at Urban Outfitters.

T-Shirt Party Is Back

Hands up who remembers T-Shirt Party? For those who don’t here’s a bit about it… Back in 2012 many a Londoner could be spotted in almost identical white tees with just one subtle difference, the logo or pattern on the front. They were wearing a T-Shirt Party tee, an initiative that brought out a new £10 tee every week each designed by a different artist and each accompanied by a minute long video. And now it’s back for the first time in two years.

Returning after huge popular demand next month T-Shirt Party are celebrating by putting all of the 52 original designs back on sale until the end of Feb before the new designs begin to be revealed in March.

Obey SS12 Lookbook

It seems that each season Obey get better and better and their collections are made to an even higher quality and today we’ve got our hands on their Spring/Summer 2012 collection to check out.

Tatty Devine Frida Kahlo Jewellery

Here’s a brief history lesson for anyone not already in the know, Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter who was best known for her self portraits (and bushy eyebrows) who had a troubled relationship with fellow artist Diego Rivera.

Now the iconic artist has inspired a new jewellery line from WJ favourite, Tatty Devine who have today revealed the colourful new collection of rings, necklaces and bracelets. To launch the line the brand shot the pieces in a photo shoot inspired by Kahlo’s work and you can check out the shoot above.

Converse x Gorillaz Collab

Earlier today we told you about Converse pulling together Gorillaz, Andre 3000 and James Murphy for a new track and now we can show you what happened when the animated brand and the shoe brand put their mind together on a new collection of shoes.

The Spring/Summer 2012 collection will be on sale later this month and have been designed by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett with each of the four designs representing a different member of the band. The shoes will be in stores on 23rd February to coincide with the free release of the aforementioned track.

How To Wear A Turban

The turban was an odd one when it came about a couple of years ago. It didn’t suit everyone but everyone wanted to try it.

Hair up you looked like a swimmer or someone just out the shower and hair down you looked a bit like an egg head.

So now that turbans are making a return, no doubt due to the chilly climate of late it is both a relief and a curse that the newest of the turban offerings are more of a headband.

Turban’s are more flattering like this but don’t do quite as much for the warmth aspect, except of course handily covering your ears.

Don’t what ever you do go for the fur option though. We are not skiing, this is not Lapland and you will look a fool.
