Cable Thieves Cause Tube Delays
Cable thieves have caused a second day of delays for London’s tube commuters after ripping out cables late last night in the High Barnet area.
Yesterday there were server mainline delays in and out of Liverpool Street due to thieves who stole 100 meters of overhead volt cables and then this morning London commuters were faced with even more travel woes with much of the Northern Lines suffering delays.
The thefts are just two of several incidents that have happened around London and its surrounding areas over the past few months. With rising prices of copper and other metals thefts are taking advantage of how much money they can make from items such as overhead cables and tracks.
