Beach Break Live with Lucozade
We Love BBL. Arriving on a wet and windy Thursday afternoon, Claire and I were determined not to let the weather dampen our spirits.
Making our way to the main arena we scouted a lucozade tent handing out refreshments that would not only keep us going for the weekend ahead but prepare us for all of the exciting activities that this festival had to offer. We took on zorbing and the tabogan run before the sun went down on our first day.
Friday was a much brighter day, before the music kicked off we headed to the beach to see professionals take on wakeboarding and extreme kiting. We even played a volleyball match before we caught our first act on the main stage, Yasmin. After watching this beautiful songstress, we headed into the backstage area for a bit of a chill-out before hearing Ed Sheeran wow the crowds back at the main stage. With a quick visit to the tent for a freshen-up, once the rain had finally stopped, we found ourselves wandering to the main stage once more for an energetic performance from Professor Green, before ending our night with SBTRKT at the ghetto blaster.
With the sun finally making the occasional appearance on Saturday, we decided to take it easy, going on a couple of fairground rides before sitting on the grass with an ice-cold Lucozade for Ash Grunwald and his guitar. Whilst catching up with some friends, before we knew it time had gotten away from us, and we were finishing the night off with a dj set from Subfocus in merlins forest.
Sadly, our time with BBL came to an end on Sunday, with only time to see the hypnotising Jamie Woon sing his way into everyones hearts, before packing up the tent and heading into the sunset home.
